'Why so soon?'

'Are the gods dead?'

Our land is barren and desolate.
Our land has been conquered by her enemies.
The ruins of our land has become a centre of attraction.
The gods kept mute but watch.

Our valiant men are slain everyday,
Our women are held captive,
Our ladies and young men are being enslaved.
Our children have become refugees in a strange land.
Yet, the gods aren't talking rather they watch.

We cry to the gods daily,
We offer sacrifices daily.
We wail and mourn,
But the gods will not hear.
They have refused to be appeased.

We trusted the gods to shield and provide for us,
Yet they failed us.
Their ears have gone deaf to our plea,
Their eyes blind to our sufferings.
Their senses impaired to the feelings of our depressed hearts.

I am not ashamed to pronounce the gods dead.
I don't think it rude to call them powerless.

My people I think it's high time we left our gods for the God of the Whites.
For they destroyed the shrines, and our gods did nothing.

Don't think me a traitor,
For believing in the God of the Whites, for they have proven our gods dead.
